My muddiest point from this week concerns the difference between different systems. My question is what are the benefits of using a system like Fedora over Greenstone or Dspace? Are they similar? With the exception of Dpsace being programed in Java, I didn't understand the differences very well.
Also, do you think it will ever be possible to have one DL architecture standard? Under what circumstances would this be a possibility? I know that's really more of a question, but I was wondering about this during lecture.

I do not think there will be a digital library architecture standard since the purposes and demands of building a digital library is different to diverse communities. There is no perfect DL architecture that can meet all the needs of user groups.
